This couple is trying to overturn Imperial Beach's ban on urban chickens, which is happening all around the country. See Urban Chicken Ordinances.
For more great
information see Urban Chickens.
They are great entertainment and they really do make the best eggs ever!

Hi there, thanks for popping over to my blog. How did you know we are about to start and have our own chickens, can you see into the future?????? Love your blog.
I do not think so but it is a great thing. Glad you are joining the club.
thank for the visit!
Yours blog is very good with marvellously posts, beautiful photographs and very informative!
I would love to have chickens, but am not home regularly enough to care for them. But I do love fresh eggs of the non-commercial farm variety.
Wow chickens!!
Do you raise them for just the eggs or do you eventually butcher them as well (new here so please no offense!)
I love the picture with your little boy and the chickens! It's so cute! I hope we'll have that type of picture up next summer!!! Thanks for visiting my site!
Oh wow, great chickens. We see you have a duck too! Our grandpa / grandma has ducks, chickens and turkeys!!

Hi,
Thanks for the visit to my blog. I love chickens but unfortunately am unable to raise them here in my little Colorado neighborhood. I was just in Key West and had a great time watching them run around the island.
Look at your baby:)
Thank you for dropping in with such nice words.Love this blog and well be here again. I think chickens should be in every back yard. We have them next door. i get fresh eggs from them. love the chickens we have here in S.Calif.
hugs ginger
We to have chickens, I just wish I had room for more....
Janet we found wandering around outside out junior school, so I picked her up, tucked her under me arm and bought her home...
Mabel was just in our little back garden when we woke up one Sunday morning, we have no clue as to how she got here..
and Cedric is a cockeral that me matie had and her neighbours complained so she ask me if we would have him.......
Janet and Mabel are right proper famous over on Twaddle lol

how fun to have chickens in your backyard... my kids would love it!
I'd love to have chickens around here, but I'm afraid the distance between houses is not great enough. We get great eggs from our CSA, though!
I think its own how some communities allow chickens like the city of Seattle but the rural island I live on has bans in many neighborhoods. I'm all for chickens since we own 15 girls.
I can vouch for the coolness of your chickens! Now that I'm taking care of them while you're gone, which includes feeding them, I've been accepted as one of the clan. There have been 5 new eggs every other day that I've been going and they are the best eggs ever! Last night I went over with my friend who is visiting from out of town and she had so much fun feeding them and leading them up and down the path to the coop! Thanks for the opportunity to experience what it's like to take care of them. Not as scary as I thought it would be...
We share chickens with our neighbours and it is wonderful. It is so great to have fresh eggs from happy healthy hens.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
