Giveaway for a Super Hero

This giveaway is for one superhero cape made by PlumPearApple Designs.
You pick the color of the cape, the lining the, shape and color of the emblem and the color and letter for inside the emblem. This a great creative gift for a little one.

This designer is a stay at home mom who just started this business! Call me bold, but I am looking to help two at once.

The giveaway starts today and will be open till the 16th of August.
To enter please:
1.  Send something to help decorate the 2nd grade classroom.
It can be a postcard, a poster, used books, stickers, pictures of animals or landmarks where you live or where you visited.  Anything of course that you may have made.  Just make sure that Michael has your name when you send something.

2. Post on this blog that you have sent something.

3. On the 17th of August, I will pick a name from the blog entries and check it against the names of people who sent things to the classroom to select a winner!  You then decide on your cape fabric and colors.  The order will be shipped in September. The designer is out of town for 2 weeks.

Be a SUPER HERO and lets make it the best classroom ever.
School starts August 11th.

Address: Michael Chavez
201 Pinnacle Dr.
Apt. # 3622
Rio Rancho, NM 87124

I'm just going through my photos and wondering which to send to Michael. Would help if I have an idea of like which countries he would prefer.

I'm so looking forward to the cape too!

We've past the superhero stage (my boys, now 11 and 14 both went through a Superman phase) but it was fun. Once, my son insisted on wearing a plastic bib from a crab restaurant in maryland - backwards as a cape - to church. I called him "Super Crab."

I am pondering just what I would liked to have seen in second grade??? . . .

Your post reminds me: is the Jemez hot springs still attendable? I remember many hours in the warm water listening to the indian chants of those men preparing for the solstice celebration.

Good times in 1970 and met many interesting people there. A real "watering hole".

I might just propose an idea: Get a few of those one-use cameras and let the kids pass them around taking pictures in a park or even in the city. Then maybe later add poems and words to the pictures as an exercise in relating media.
I would've liked that in second grade!

when i was a kid (now 44 with 5 kids), i imagined myself being the spiderman ... so those were the days i was bragging for something like spidey.

i think it's going to be a good business. i know for sure, kids imagination are simply great.

at 44, i wish i were the invisibleman. i reserve my further explanation :-)

have a nice weekend :-)

Oh, good for you!
If I weren't so crazy busy getting my house and my husband's classroom ready, I would love to take part but this year... oy.
I'll look forward to seeing how it goes, though.

(And thanks for popping by Life of 'Pie and leaving a note - always good to meet new people here in the blogsphere!)

I just wanted to say hello and thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope your friend gets a lot of goodies for his classroom. It is hard being a first year teacher - a lot of your own time and money go into it! I'm sure he'll have a lot of fun too!
