Chicken fanatics

I am not the only chicken lover. Come to find out there is a resurgence in urban chicken owners. Perhaps the idea of $3.50 a dozen for organic free range eggs is too much. Chickens are really a lot of fun to have around. I am surprised by it and joke to my husband about chicken TV being better.

The Midwest is experiencing a resurgence in urban chicken pet owners and people are trying to change city ordinances across the US to allow pet chickens. Backyard Poultry went defunct in the 1980's and now boasts of over 50,000 in readership. Articles are everywhere like this one:

Now let me clarify, you do not need a roster to have eggs so this is just the quiet girls that people want to have in their backyards and voila eggs! Howver Urban Chicken has a great point that they are not louder than dogs!
