Life in the dessert is harsh and this time of the year the light softens and the monsoons have made things green and bloom. The days are cooler and nights are even cooler. You can open your windows and here the coyotes howling at night.

When I was a kid we lived in Los Alamos. I love visiting over there -- you're right, the sky is beautiful!
