Amazing Yellow Flowers

This is my second year going to the Chicago Botanical Gardens.  Truly amazing there.  In particular for me are these flowers which I saw for the first last year. I have failed now multiple times to find their name, but they are really remarkable. If anyone knows please tell me.

Is that a bug on the second picture? It looks as big as a duck!

I have vague recollections of the Chicago Botanical Gardens....

I love going to botanical gardens. I don't know what those flowers are, but they remind me of pineapples.

Hi there,
I love these flowers ... not sure from the pics, but perhaps they could be Eremerus (foxtail lilies)? You might be able to compare them with the Ermerus pictured here: http://images.google.com.au/images?q=eremerus&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&sa=N&tab=wi

Thank you too for dropping by my blog! I'm looking forward to exploring yours further :-)

oh drat! The link didn't copy properly in my previous comment. Try doing an image search for eremerus in Google for some comparative pics...
