New Mid West Activities

So I joined a quilting club. Varying ages from 21 to 55. I made a great red sauce curry and we all met at my house. It is interesting to sit down and discuss patterns, quilt patterns, colors and pick a focus fabric. We choose a wild lime green. It should be an interesting quilt for sure. Some have suggested purple, lime green and fire engine red. I will send pictures as we move along. It is a pretty neat concept that we all make blocks, one for ourseleves and then one for everyone in the group. In the end we all exchange and sew together a new quilt.

I am working on the photos--busy weekend a congressman came for a visit and had to work more than I thought. This week is a potluck and then our usual volleyball and ultimate frisbee.

The interwoven threads of human creativity...I love it. Can't wait to see the quilt in progress.
